Fentanyl suspect held for bail hearing
Jacob James Phillips, 24, of Fredericton, also accused of violating conditions of release
A Fredericton man arrested on the weekend on suspicion of drug-trafficking is remaining behind bars pending a bail hearing later this week.
Jacob James Phillips, 24, of Brunswick Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday by telephone from the cellblock at the Fredericton police station.
He was charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and violation of a judicial release order barring him from having contact with Brittany Paul and Kent Fox.
Those charges allege offences in Fredericton on Sunday.
