Dumfries man accused of 18 violent crimes
Jacob Dana Mabie, 26, faces multiple counts of assault, sexual assault and uttering threats
A Dumfries man will stand trial in 2027 on a long list of charges alleging he assaulted a woman and threatened to harm her repeatedly - and sexually assaulted her twice - over the course of four years.
Jacob Dana Mabie, 26, of Davidson Lake Road, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday for his first appearance on 18 different indictable charges, all alleging violence toward the same woman.
At the request of the prosecution, Judge Mary Jane Richards imposed a publication ban on information that would tend to identify the complainant.
