Drunk driving caused 2023 ATV crash
Kenneth Allen Johnston, 55, of Fredericton, fined, banned from driving for one year
A Fredericton man had almost twice the legal limit of booze in his system when he crashed his ATV last year and sustained injuries requiring a visit to hospital, court heard last week.
Kenneth Allen Johnston, 55, of Highland Avenue, previously pleaded not guilty to a charge of having an elevated blood-alcohol level within two hours of driving, but accompanied by defence lawyer Emily Cochrane, he appeared in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday and changed his plea to guilty.

Crown prosecutor Jennifer Bueno told the court the charge arose after a Fredericton police officer on patrol the evening of April 29, 2023, was dispatched to a report of an accident on the city’s north side at 8:45 p.m.
