Drunk driver busted leaving bar parking lot

Nicholas Lambert, 25, of Birdton, fined, prohibited from driving in Canada for one year

A Birdton man who admitted Monday to driving while impaired earlier this year caught the police’s attention when he drove out of a bar’s parking lot in downtown Fredericton, court heard.

Nicholas Lambert, 25, of Kingsley Road in Birdton, about 30 kilometres northwest of Fredericton, pleaded guilty in provincial court during his first appearance to answer to a charge of having an elevated blood-alcohol level within two hours of driving.
