Missing Doaktown woman found - RCMP
Police had issued alert Monday about Erin Elizabeth Hilson, 44, who'd last been seen Jan. 7
A Doaktown woman who had been missing since last week but was reported as such to police Sunday has been located, the RCMP reported Monday.
The Doaktown detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Monday afternoon about Erin Elizabeth Hilson, 44, of Doaktown, who’d been reported as missing to police Sunday.
“Erin Elizabeth Hilson was last seen on Jan. 7, 2026, in the Astle area of New Brunswick,” it said, referring to a neighbouring community about 30 kilometres from Doaktown, which is about 90 km northeast of Fredericton.
“Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate her but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and her family are concerned for her well-being.”
However, in a followup over the supper hour Monday, the Doaktown detachment announced she’d been found.
“The 44-year-old woman from Doaktown, N.B., who was reported missing to police on January 12, 2026, has been located safe,” it said on social media.
“The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
