Defence counsel for William Joseph Dunham, 53, seeks adjournment in sexual-assault case

An Oromocto man is due to be back in court in early January to answer to an allegation of sexual assault dating back a couple of years.

William Joseph Dunham, 53, of St. John Avenue, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone Dec. 10, and on hand to represent him was Fredericton lawyer Shane Hill, acting as an agent for defence counsel T.J. Burke.

Dunham faces an indictable charge of sexual assault, alleged to have occurred against an unnamed complainant in Oromocto on Aug. 23, 2023.
