Disclosure of the evidence upon which the Crown will rely in a murder prosecution is slow to make its way to the defence, court heard Tuesday, though it was told that’s normal in such a case.

Aaron Jesse Rice, 45, of Argyle Street in Fredericton, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Tuesday for a monitoring proceeding in his case.

He faces a second-degree murder charge stemming from the Sept. 7 death of Sonia Vivan Timbre, 42, of Fredericton.
