Defendant denies pointing rifle at someone
Tyler Crossman, 32, of Cardigan, accused of threatening another man in August with firearm
A Cardigan man will stand trial in 15 months’ time on charges alleging he pointed a rifle at another man this summer and threatened him, charges he denied last week.

Tyler Crossman, 32, of Route 620 in Cardigan, about 25 kilometres northwest of Fredericton, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Dec. 17 to answer to four summary charges stemming from a summertime incident.
He’s accused of pointing a firearm at Audie Peterson, handling a firearm in a careless manner without taking reasonable precautions for the safety of others, possessing the rifle without a licence and uttering a threat to Peterson to cause him death and/or bodily harm, all in Cardigan on Aug. 17.
