Defendant denies Dodge Durango assault

A Temperance Vale man accused of assaulting someone with an SUV and operating the vehicle while impaired denied those allegations and other charges Tuesday.
Michael John Stevenson, 24, of Upper Temperance Vale Road, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday with defence counsel Angèle Normand.
The defendant is facing criminal counts of assaulting Melissa Comeau with a weapon (a 2015 Dodge Durango), impaired driving, refusing a breath demand and driving dangerously, as well as a Motor Vehicle Act infraction of refusing a breath demand while he was a novice driver.
