Counsel for a Fredericton man arrested after police raided home last month and seized drugs and cash says he needed to look at the details giving rise to search warrants before deciding how to plead.

Ian Keith Edwards, 26, of Regent Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Thursday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas on indictable charges.

He’s accused of possessing fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, all for the purpose of trafficking; possessing $2,800 in Canadian currency believed to be the proceeds of crime; possessing 22-calibre ammunition while prohibited from doing so by a court order; driving while prohibited; and breaching probation; all on Sept. 9 in Fredericton.
