Crown drops flawed fraud charge
Count against Qudus Gbenga Saula, 22, of Fredericton, listed wrong date, missed deadline
A Fredericton man accused of fraud is no longer facing a criminal charge, as the prosecution withdrew the allegation Wednesday after court heard it was erroneous and missed a mandated deadline.
Qudus Gbenga Saula, 22, of Canada Street, was back in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday with defence counsel Spencer MacInnis.
He was scheduled to answer to a charge alleging he defrauded Mishka Lawson of less than $5,000 in cash June 26.
