A Fredericton man is serving the remainder of his community-based sentence behind bars after a judge ruled last week that his violations of a conditional-sentence order merited incarceration.

Jesse William Woodcock, 20, of Forest Hill Road, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Thursday for a hearing on his breach of his conditional sentence.

He pleaded guilty earlier this year to theft of an iPhone on Nov. 20; unlawful entry at a vacant rental unit on Main Street on Nov. 27; property damage at the Ironwood Resource Centre, threats to security guards there, and breach of a police undertaking Feb. 6.

Judge Mary Jane Richards sentenced him in August to a six-month conditional sentence, to be served in the community under house arrest.
