City man denied bail on driving charges
Tyler Jody Ryan Nevers, 26, of Fredericton, accused of assaulting cop in stolen Elantra
A homeless man from the capital accused of ramming a police cruiser in a stolen car while impaired by drugs will remain in custody until the prosecution against him concludes.
Tyler Jody Ryan Nevers, 26, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday for a bail hearing.
He faces charges alleging he assaulted Fredericton police Const. Davan Cloney with a weapon (a 2026 Hyundai Elantra), possessed that stolen car, fled from police in the vehicle, drove dangerously, operated the Elantra while impaired by drugs and breached his probation in the process, all on Jan. 12 in Fredericton.
