A Fredericton man sold cannabis products and magic mushrooms, using the mail to ship orders around the capital region, a court heard Monday.

Benjamin Troy Dana Mundell, 29, formerly of Bloomfield near Sussex but now living on Langille Drive in Fredericton, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday for a sentencing hearing.

He’d previously pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling it, contrary to the Cannabis Act; possessing psilocybin (mushrooms) for the purpose of trafficking, contract to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and breaching his probation, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The charges stemmed from crimes he committed in Fredericton between March 3 and May 11, 2024.
