City man admits to four-year-old charges

A Fredericton man who’s had break-in and other charges looming over his head for almost four years finally entered pleas to the allegations Tuesday, admitting to several crimes.

Brandon Michael Trites, 32, of Polchies Court, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from a custodial facility Tuesday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas to several charges dating back to 2022.

He was accused of breaking into a Howe Street home and thereby breaching his probation, both on Jan. 8, 2022, in Fredericton; as well as breaching probation by failing to report to his probation officer between March 15 and April 22, 2022; and failing to attend court Aug. 5, 2022.
