City couple denies drug-dealing charges

A Fredericton couple arrested after a drug investigation in mid-January has denied the trafficking-related charges against them and will go to trial late next year.
Jordan Douglas Phillips, 21, and Ieesha Williams, 20, both of Forest Hill Drive, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Thursday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas on indictable charges.
They’re charged jointly with Jan. 16 counts of possessing fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and possessing $673 in Canadian currency deemed to be the proceeds of crime.
