Days after a suspect in a January arson case said she wanted to forgo her bail hearing, her newly assigned defence lawyer told a court she was once again seeking conditional release from custody.

Tiffany Lee Johnston, 33, of no fixed address, appeared in virtual bail court last week but opted to forgo the proceeding, and her outstanding charges were set over to plea court Monday.

She’s accused of causing property damage to windows at Tim Hortons on Main Street and Giant Tiger on Union Street, on May 20 and Nov. 3, respectively, and of causing damage by fire to Tim Hortons on Union Street on Jan. 28.
