A Waasis man accused of a variety of offences, mainly against family members, has been remanded to a psychiatric facility for a more in-depth assessment because his past medical history came to light.

Carl Robert Ellis, 56, of Cass Drive, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video conference from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Thursday, scheduled to go through a fitness hearing and bail hearing.

He faces charges a mish-mash of charges alleged to have occurred over the past several months.
