Ottawa’s economic-development agency for Atlantic Canada is suing a Fredericton business, alleging it has defaulted on a federal loan agreement.

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency filed a notice of action and statement of claim in the Court of King’s Bench in Fredericton on Aug. 14 against the Roticana Coffee Company Inc., operated by Mohamed Khirallah.

In the statement of claim, ACOA alleges it entered into a contribution agreement with Roticana on May 4, 2021, for $125,000.
