Accused admits to sex assault on minor
Clarke Kenneth Scott Ramage, 49, of Oromocto, changes plea, will be sentenced in March
An Oromocto man who was scheduled to stand trial in the spring on allegations of sexually abusing a minor in 2024 instead opted to admit to one of the charges against him Monday.
Clarke Kenneth Scott Ramage, 49, of MacLaren Drive, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday along with defence counsel Spencer MacInnis, scheduled for a pre-trial conference.
Ramage pleaded not guilty last year to charges of sexual assault of a minor and of touching that same victim for a sexual purpose with his hands and penis while in a position of trust and/or authority over the child in Central Blissville between Aug. 1 and 31, 2024.
