Abusive spouse accused of no-contact breach
Adam Crowley, 30, of Oromocto, accused of violating court order aimed at protecting his wife just days after release from jail for brutalizing her after he learned she wanted divorce
An Oromocto man who was just released from jail after serving time for terrorizing and beating his wife last fall now faces a probation-violation charge alleging he breached a no-contact condition.
Adam Crowley, 30, was sentenced last month to 18 months in jail for assault causing bodily harm to Karimah Crowley, forcible confinement, threats and mischief causing damage to her cellphone.
He pleaded guilty to those charges, which arose after he flew into a violent rage Oct. 14, 2023, in the Beaver Dam area, upon learning his spouse was unfaithful and that she wanted a divorce.
