5 years in prison for child-porn, luring crimes
Travis Carrier, 36, of Fredericton, didn’t think his online sexual activity was hurting anyone
A Fredericton man found by American police and a messaging app trying to communicate with minors for sexual purposes and to exchange child pornography earned a five-year prison stint last week.
Travis Carrier, 36, formerly of Rookwood Avenue, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video conference from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Friday to hear Judge Natalie LeBlanc’s decision on his sentence.
He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of luring people he thought were minors for the purpose of sexual offences between Dec. 11 and 17, transmitting child porn between Dec. 18 and 29, possessing such material child porn Feb. 25, and breaching a police undertaking May 9 by failing to report a change of address.
